What I don’t do: legal advice, introductions, job referrals or help with applications to my own employer. I also don’t mentor colleagues or clients of my employer, or lawyers at firms I work with day to day. Sessions are for mentorship, not networking.
Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call.

I’m a lawyer qualified in Hong Kong and New York, and I’ve worked at every level of the Hong Kong legal career ladder: summer clerk, paralegal, trainee and associate at King & Wood Mallesons, and now Assistant Vice President and Senior Counsel in the Markets legal team at an international firm.
I supervised trainees in private practice. Now I help lawyers decide whether moving in-house is right for them, and then help them make the move.
I also understand the worries of a new generation of lawyers who are competing with AI for junior roles. So I train them to be AI-literate, and to use it to advance their careers.
Tell me a little bit about where you are. You’ll hear back within a week.
No. Mentoring is career guidance, not legal advice, and it doesn’t create a lawyer–client relationship. We never discuss any employer’s business, clients or confidential information, including yours.
Not from me. What you tell me stays between us, and I never contact your firm or employer. Please don’t share client names, deal details or anything confidential.
No. This is mentorship, not recruitment. I don’t make introductions or referrals, I don’t help with applications to my own employer, and I don’t mentor its staff or clients. I can help you decide, prepare and present yourself well wherever you apply.
That’s a good outcome too. The aim is a decision you’re confident in. If staying is right for you, we use the time to plan your next steps where you are.
The first call is free. Fees for a single session or the four-session programme are confirmed after that call.
Yes. If you’re a law student, say so in your request and I’ll apply a student rate.
You can reschedule free of charge with at least 48 hours’ notice. Later cancellations and missed sessions count as used. If I have to cancel, we rearrange the session or I refund it.
Sessions are in English, Mandarin or Cantonese, on Zoom. I’m based in Hong Kong and meet on weekday evenings and Saturdays, Hong Kong time. Mentees in Mainland China, the US and elsewhere are welcome.
